The Audrey Hepburn Auction at Christie’s

Exciting news for all Audrey Hepburn fans was announced this week as Christie’s in London is set to auction off a collection of the adored stars clothes and personal treasures. The auction is due to take place on the 27th Sepetmber this year, alongside an online sale which will be open for bidding from 19th September to 3rd October, 24 years after the actresses death.

Items mentioned to be up for auction include a Burberry raincoat estimated around £6,000-£8,000, a selection of her ballet pumps in almost every single colour as well as a blue satin cocktail dress by Hubert de Givenchy. As well as her fabulous fashion, there will be personal photography by honoured photographers and artists as well as film memorabilia such as, extremely rare, personally annotated copies of her film scripts, including the legendary Breakfast at Tiffany’s which has been estimated to go for a whopping £60,000-£80,0000.


All the items up for auction still belong to the Hepburn family and her son’s Luca Dotti and Sean Hepburn Ferrer have commented on the event, ‘ We are honored to entrust Christie’s with this sale and it is with great joy that we wish to share her spirit, through this sale, and its related previews, with all who have enjoyed her films, her sense of style and followed her humanitarian legacy.”

There is no doubt that Audrey Hepburn will forever be a true fashion icon and this will be an exciting event and a fantastic way to remember and appreciate the icon that is Audrey Hepburn.
