A Royal Race for Best Dressed
It is hard to believe we are coming to the end of June already! Although the last couple of weeks in the UK has reached some record breaking temperatures it seems that the Spring season has come and gone in a flash and here we are ready for Summer in all its (hopefully) sunny glory!
What comes to mind when you think of summer? Holidays? BBQs? The beach? Well here at Jane Davidson, summer to us means, wedding season, garden parties and race events – any excuse for a new frock and a fabulous hat.
We have had the pleasure of dressing some of our lovely customers who are in attendance of the annual Royal Ascot which is well underway this week on day 3/5. The events kicked off with much of the Royal family in attendance. We were of course in awe of the ever elegant Duchess of Cambridge at the opening of the Ascot on Tuesday. Wearing an all-over, ivory lace, knee length dress with long sleeves and high neck line by Alexander McQueen, she looked as stunning as ever. Coordinating her dress with a fantastic ivory hat with embroidery detailing finished off a simply graceful and classic day at races look.

Kate wasn’t the only Royal looking fabulous in ivory. Princess Beatrice, who hasn’t always been known for the best wardrobe choices, wore a fun over the knee dress with pink and green floral appliqué embellishment by Claire Mischevani. Definitely one of the best looks we’ve seen on her.
We hope everyone attending the Royal Ascot this year has a fantastic time and that the sun continues to shine on the UK. We’ll be keeping up with the best dressed summer looks from lots of fabulous events.
